Sweetpea
that's true could have been called Amercauna but is EE. Some ppl don't really know the diff.
pure Amercauna have only blue eggs( it is a robin egg blue though). but not the green in the pic.
I just had an EE also not sure who but do know the dad is lavender Amercauna.....lay a green egg the other day My first green.
It looked just like the ones in the pic here.
EAR COLOR....I have heard that too Then i have heard you cant tell by the ears...IDK.
My Lavender Amercaunas have very blue ears and blue eggs but I don't know if that would hold true for a EE or even if its just coincidental the ears on these are blue just like the eggs.
Pink egg would be just a tan that looks pink,. My tan egg layers now and then have a more pink egg. EEs can have pink eggs or whatever other color the parent breed is that isn't EE or Amercauna .I THINK they are concidered an EE if they do lay a colored egg.. some can have an EE parent and just lay regular eggs. I guess they aren't a EE then? not sure.
If yours hatched from a blue egg and grew up and laid a green egg then its one parent was a tan egg layer breed
Is this clear as mud or what?.
