I'm NEW and want to learn! I got in "over my head" w 30 new chicks as a first timer. Actually, its been a blessing. Besides the numerous chicks(at the moment), I have a "few" children, 3 dogs. We moved to the country in the early part of the year(2012). LIFE IS GREAT!

Hi ChickenCanoe,

I have read all of the articles regarding your story, and I stand behind you 100%  Please come join us on Chicken Swap of Missouri on facebook, which is where I first saw your story posted by another member:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/225021300913860/329833027099353/

Another group I was involved with also had good luck with changing a city policy regarding feral cats using change.org to start a petition against the city.  They had over 5,000 signatures in a couple of days.

http://www.change.org/

If you start a petition, please let me know, and I will post a link to it on all of the chicken forums that I know of (including Chicken Swap of Missouri), for members to sign.

Good luck thumbsup.gif, and keep us posted!!!!!

I finally got some guinea eggs today.  Went down to the Tina small animal auction and

there were 2 dozen guinea eggs there.  I got them for $5 a dozen.  My husband told me to

go as high as $10 a dozen cuz he wants guineas bad.

Also picked up another 7 dozen mystery eggs and put them in the incubator too.  Along with

taking 40 mystery chicks and 5 Silkie chicks to sell at the sale.

Tina small animal auction? Googled it and that one seems close enough I could actually maybe go. Where and when is it held? big_smile.png

hello fellow MO folk! me and my wife are new to chickens, with our first tiny flock of 5 being 8-10 weeks old. been very much enjoying them thus far, and we look forward to watching them continue to grow, the fresh eggs they'll eventually produce for us, and taking advantage of the resources here on BYC! frow.gif
