Hen isolates herself from the rest of the flock...

Hi Everyone, I have experienced this many times before my chickens perish.. And i want to know what it is. My hen, about 3 years old, isolates herself from the flock. She hides in the nesting box or in the bushes. I have just noticed this today. She is not eating or drinking, I am not sure what to do. I have thought about taking her to the vet, but i think there is nothing much they can do.  Sometimes when she walks she lifts her foot up. I would appreciate any useful advice.

Thank you

What does her poop look like??
Here is a poop chart. http://pluckandfeather.com/chicken-poo-chart-graphic.html

Also check her for mites or lice. Has she ever been wormed??

OK i just checked and i believe it is similar to the "Ceacal" section, and no she has not been wormed before.

Check her for egg binding. Feel her butt for a hard mass.

All around her butt, and across her belly.

She might be an internal layer.
