A young angry stallion stumbles onto a large over-crop in a rock. Hatred burned within his eyes, and vapors blew from his inflamed nostrils on the cold frosty night. "I will beat you father. One day. And soon, your time to fall will come, and I will be the victor." he nickered. He looked once more over the rock, down at the grazing herd below. He snorted, and turned with a flash of a white tail, and bolted away.
In horse herds, the young stallions are driven out of the herd by their father. To keep himself the only male in the herd. The young colts move out of their fathers herd, and join "bachelor" herds. Made up of "rejected" young stallions. They search for lone mares, or filly's in hopes of starting their own herd. Sometimes the brave colts will even try to steal mares and filly's from their father's herd.
Herds:
EvergreenHerd: Muscular, large horses, who can ran extremely fast. EvergreenHerd are kind and silent. They don't like shedding blood, if something else can be done.
RiverHerd: Sleek medium sized horses. When foals are born, they are taught to swim as soon as they can walk. They are very sly, and will team up with another Herd to get revenge.
MarshHerd: Usually huge draft horses, who are very nimble, and seem to vanish into their surroundings. MarshHerd are very cunning, and want to take over ALL the territory's.
DesertHerd: Heat tolerant breeds dwell in this herd. Like the Arabian. They can stand very high heat and can go wothout water, longer than the average horse. DesertHerd are quick to anger, and fight without asking questions first.
StormHerd: Large drafts and fast breeds live in Stormherd. Stormherd is usually kind and generous, but they do have a slightly quick temper and are willing to spill blood if provoked. They are strong and fast and have large endurance. But, they aren't as good swimmers or as surefooted as other herds.

- Nothing above PG
- You cannot kill or cripple another person's character without their permission
- I am the only one who can change the plot or main story of this RP
- You can have a mate and foals, however, nothing specific about the character having the foal or any related things.
- NO invincible characters
- NO magic or superpowers PLEASE keep it realistic.
- You can have as many characters as you want, but you MUST be able to manage all of them.
- Please RP Horses (I MAY make an exception if you want to RP a donkey or something like that.)
- No instant healing, if your character has minor wounds from a battle then they should take about one day to heal (real time). A broken bone should take at least five.
- If you want to create a Herd check with me first.
- If a Herd claims new territory they must challenge the existing Herd first (Unless there is "Unclaimed Territory" available, then they must claim that.) No saying, "It belongs to them now".
- While fighting one blow per post. The other player decides the injury taken. (Unless the two fighting are your own characters)
- Be realistic, a Horse can't be attacked by a two or more Horses and come out unhurt, and a single Horse cannot take over a whole herd unless he goes through the lead Stallion and Mare.
- Territory must be won through battle or surrendered with the other Herds full consent.
- Characters can only dodge one out of every four blows, the rest of the time the injury taken must be AT LEAST as bad as a papercut.

- The main setting is a conifer forest. Most Herds except for MarshHerd and DesertHerd dwell here.
- And in the distance are the mountains, curving around the Territories creating a large Valley.
- Some part of the river goes through every territory, providing fresh drinking water and a good place to cool off.
DestertHerd lives in a dry hard area, like this desert.
Herd Duties:
- Guarding Territory: The territory of the Herd is the heart of it. It brings food for the Herd and a place to raise a family. Territory should be defended until the only option is flee or die.
- Protect the pack: Horses protect their family and friends at all costs!
Pack Ranks:
- Lead (Alpha) Male: Mate of the Lead (Alpha) Female, the only male and the leader of the Herd.
- Lead Alpha Female: Mate of the Alpha Male and a leader of the Herd.
- HerdMate: All Third-highest ranking Horses and the heart of the Herd.
- Young Stallions (Colts): Young males about a year old, that get driven out before they turn 1 year old.
- Filly's: Young female Horses who will not be driven out, but will remain and be part of the herd (under 1 year of age).
- Lead Stallions and Mares can be challenged for their rank, but please only once or twice.

Personality: A mature, upper-middle aged stallion who has settled down with a few bachelors when he felt as if his out of his prime. Surprisingly, he was once like many of the young stallions, kicking up his heels constantly and living a life of action. Now, he is reserved and very knowledgeable, teaching younger males life lessons and watching over the main herd area, hoping to keep its inhabitants out of harm's way. A true gentleman, always willing to fulfill the needs of mares no matter their struggles and a wonderful father. He has a countless number of children in the area and beyond, Ondine being one in particular.
