I had a 20 to 25% hatch rate on my first 3 tries. Got disgusted and bought a new incubator on line - before you ask I don't know the brand offhand. Just a styrofoam model but encased in hard plastic with turner and blower and humidity control. Set 36, 33 fertile and all of them hatched. Was this a fluke or can I expect results like this
most of the time?

I picked up my eggs!!!!!  unwrapping each egg felt like a kid on christmas morning. I got 24 little gifts lol. It was funny because as I was opening them I was like aw I didnt get a marans or welsummer egg. And then TADA the last egg I opened was a marans egg.

Here is my batch of 24 eggs I will set this weekend

We have 2 dogs, and our always growing flock of chickens(Barred Rocks, White Rocks, Silver Laced Wyandottes, Easter Eggers, Olive Eggers, Marans, Japanese Bantams, Silkies, Silver Laced Cochin, Silkie/EE crosses, and a Cream Legbar Roo). We also have Bourbon Red Turkeys!  And now Ducks!!! Soon to be arriving Nigerian Dwarf doelings.
