I know, it's gonna be yucky lol. But it's not going to be too bad because our run is enclosed and we put wood-framed plastic panels up on the sides to keep the snow/wind out on all sides but one for the winter, so the run is staying dry for the most part. Except for the part that got compacted by the heavy rains we got before we put the plastic panels up, I've been able to scoop most of the poop out in the run, but for the last few days it's been frozen to the poop boards inside the coop in some spots, those are the spots that I'm going to have to chisel out sickbyc.gif.

Here's a pic of our coop/run with the plastic panels. They are held on with hourglass shaped latches, so they are easily removeable in the spring.

Adorable coop by the way.  How many birds does it house and what kind?

Couple of feet, the girls are choosing to hang in the barn though they do occasionally stick their heads out to eat snow. And I bring them warm water WHY?

15 F 5 days ago - 3 eggs

10 F 4 days ago - 6 eggs

-9  F 3 days ago - 9 eggs

28 F 2 days ago - 5 eggs

I forgot to post yesterday.

21 F and 6 eggs.

"40 degrees yesterday and 9/17."

"Yesterday was high of 47 and I got 8/17."

"More eggs if today was colder than yesterday" theory independently PROVEN by Puddin Fluf,  wink.png

It's a wrap, scientifically proven by direct observation of 2 unconnected parties. No more work to be done.

I'm going hide.gif before someone figures out my middle name is "Bernie Madoff" big_smile.png

Woops!  My son just brought in an egg he had collected yesterday but had not made it in the house so Yesterday is 9/17 same as day before.  What does that do to the thoery?  "Bernie"

Too late, theory proven and irrefutable, no 'excess' data points allowed.  wink.png  lau.gif gig.gif
