Today's temperature = # of eggs. - Page 36

My girls (9 of them) are all over the place with their laying.  The temps here have been up and down and I don't necessarily get the most eggs on the warmer days.  Yesterday was mid 60's and I got 4 eggs.  A couple of days ago it was low 40's and I got 6.  Whatever. . .it's plenty of eggs for the two of us and my girls (barred rocks) are just so darn cute!

The temperature was 68 yesterday and we got 3 eggs from our girls.  1, red star, 1 jersey giant, and 1 sussex.  We have 7 hens and 1 roo all together.  Looking forward to more sunlight in the coming days!

In Katy Texas we have 57 - feels like 45 degree weather with sun and yesterday it was a bit windy but both days we had four eggs from 8 chickens - Rhode Island Reds and Dominiques. All our birds free range and we suplement with organic soy free Layer

You should be getting a lot more eggs than that. Do you add to their length of day with a lamp on a timer? Doing so makes a huge difference in egg production. With my three older pullets (9 months old), we never get fewer than two eggs per day, and sometimes three. Aim for 15 hours of light per day, with most of the supplemental light provided in the morning.

Welcomefrow.gif.  Sounds pretty regular to me.   At least no one has completely taken a winter break on you.

Beautiful pic!  When I first saw your screen name, I thought maybe you were going to be from Alaska.  We lived in Anchorage and they had Fur Rendezvous every year.  That was a lot of fun.

Supporting the arts = paying artists a fair wage. Art Prices should be reflecting an hourly wage (time has value)+mastery(value of skills & experience)+material cost (paint, paper, etc)+taxes (because it's the law)+shipping (because it isn't safe or free). When an artist gives away work, they don't value/appreciate the time invested in their talent/skills or that artwork.  So why would you?
