Polish Top Hats

Hey all!  I recently bought (at auction) 2 Polish Top Hat Roosters.  Beautiful birds...but I was wondering, since they don't really tell you what breed your bidding on (just whether its a roo or a hen), are Top Hats a breed?...Or a type?  And how do I tell what breed of top hat I have?

If they are the birds in your avatar, you have a white crested black and a white crested blue cockerel.

Friends are the family you make for yourself.
There are no coincidences- only providences.

Those are them!  But that's not a breed is it? (white crested black/white crested blue).  I guess what I'm asking is are they a breed (such as Sussex or Japanese or Delaware, etc.) ...or are they just known as top hats?

The Breed is Polish. The variety[color] is White Crested Black. Hence White Crested Black Polish.  Plymouth Rock is the breed, Barred,White,Silver Penciled etc is the variety.  Barred Plymouth Rock,White Plymouth Rock etc.

Let me add "Top Hats" doesn't enter into it at all.
