Awww Zoo you are so lucky! I wish my DH was as understanding and supportive as yours. I get the 'human stink eye' when one even looks in the door.

You need.a.Silkie to soften him up.....men like Silkies.....lol
Hubby wasn't always that way.....but Sophie was one of a kind....he cried as hard as I did when she past. He knew how bad my heart was broken and brought Bean in. She was always a silly pullet. .....
It is so funny to watch Bean chase him around the house....he laughs so hard he almost has an asthma attack. Lol
She runs faster than him......Coco is starting...she will rush your feet....

I want a Silkie. REALLY do. no way hubby would let me keep her inside. nope, not a chance in heck. He is not an animal lover at all. Had to fight for 10 years to get a coop and chicks alone! He puts up with mine because he knows its them or him. They go? HE goes. lolololol. If i thought for a minute I could keep a Silkie with my other 10 I would have a few like yesterday. I know my 2 Cochins would be fine with a Silkie, my Americana would be fine with one, Hope would even be ok with one, but my 2 white rocks are nosy snobby things, my 3 RSL hens would pick on her and God only knows what 'Bird would do if he tried to have 'his way' with a Silkie. he would crush her I am sure!

Thus, I am Silkie-less unless i could get a second coop, and that is not really an option. lol

Get out the tools and build a Silkie coop. Then you bring one in the house while you watch tv.....then bring it in a little longer.....then get a.diaper...and.have it stay a little longer....get where I'm going with this.....lol

yea, I get it. I already got a diaper for 'Bird and one for MayMay (RIP sweety) but, it didnt happen. I did get out the tools to make a weather proof 'porch' off the back of my coop so that 'Bird and the fluffy butts would have an outdoor 'play room' this winter! yupr, did it allll by myself. I was SOOOOOO proud of it Zoo!!!! DH walked over to it, put his hand on the roof and it fell over. right down to the ground. I was so pi^%#$!!!!! Needless to say he cussed at me and rebuilt it. I have never heard the end of it and that was months ago. (his version is MUCH better than mine anyway)

There's nothing I cant do (or try to do) I am a hands on, can use power tools, talk shop, and have a ball at Lowes in the lumber section, kind of girl ya know. BUT there are some things I can only screw up so much.

Here's his version of the new solarium I call it.
