I am just outside of Abingdon. I have a huge coop, and only house 11 right now. My chickens free range all day! They have an acre here with a creek for constant fresh water. There is plenty of places to hide...lots of trees and bushes. Plus, they get to eat fresh fruit and veggies all the time. I keep one rooster and he is super friendly. All of my girls have come to trust us and will eat out of our hands, come when they are called, and go home on command if I have to put them up. They are happy!
