help my other ducks are picking on one of my other ducks

I need some advice. i have a total of 7 ducks, kakis, rouens and runners. It seems that my female rouen is being singled out and picked on/plucked. What should I do what should i be looking for. i did notice that my female runner is missing feathers on the back of her head also. My male rouen seems to be somewhat agressive.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I don't know where you live but with this warm up it seems the drakes are waking  up , my drake got one of the ducks today first time since last Oct. and most likely your drake is  being to hard on the girls, the rouen must be a favorite of  the drake, have you actually witnessed it? the girls can also gang up on each other too. but don't usually pull feathers out and pluck [well they will pull out feathers.] you may have to put your 2 girls into a separate pen and give them a break from the drake for a while or he could do some serious damage plus it is very stressful for these 2 girls.

What is the male/female ratio? I agree with Miss Lydia, it sounds like overbreeding.

Sounds like for some reason they have singled her out, I don't really know why they do this but over the years i have seen it in my ducks too. 5to2 sounds good on paper but if you could add another duck it may help. I'd still give the 2 girls that are being plucked some SPA time where they can recoup. I have 2 -8 year ducks 2 which have slowed down considerably they are not in with the rambunctious 2 other drakes I have, they have 8 girls between them which so far seems a good ratio, but if one starts looking to overly used then she'll get some timeout with my older ones. Mating is a very rough sport in the waterfowl world it's up to us to make sure it doesn't get out of hand.  Good luck.

I think i found the trouble starter. One Of my female kakis. I did seperate the " victim" last night. She is snuggled up with the male rouen and seems happy. Now what to do with my lil gang leader

You really need to give her timeout away from the rest of the flock, that way when you bring her back in she will have been demoted as ring leader. My girls get into tufts chasing each other and some nipping but it usually passes pretty quick. I'd try putting her in timeout for a couple 3 days and see what happens when you reintroduce.

x 2

You can probably expect some pecking order behaviors when she is reintroduced as the flock dynamic will have changed a bit once she is removed.  This is ususally beneficial though and allows the bottom ducks to rise up the ranks.  Just be aware and supervise them in case things get out of hand.
