post #2 of 851/17/13 at 10:51ampost #3 of 851/17/13 at 11:00amFor small scale hatches, I highly recommend the Brinsea Mini Advance. It holds 7 eggs and does everything automatically. All you have to do it set it (tell it how many days, how often to turn and turning angle) and then add water every few days. When it comes time to lockdown, take out the turning disk, put in some felt or rubber shelf paper, fill up the water on both sides, and then sit on your hands til babies come out.

post #6 of 851/17/13 at 3:56pmWhat about for about 15/20 eggs? I, like most folks these days:-), am on a budget but am saving up for a good first timer incubator. I don't want a styrofoam one because I'd feel cheated paying so much for something so simple to make and easy to destroy. Suggestions for durable not necessarily cheapest? What do ya'll have? Dh said he had his eye on getting me one from tsc for xmas but I don't want him to overpay or get something I'll have trouble using.post #7 of 851/17/13 at 5:31pm- Location: Columbia river gorge
