Two Cream Legbar threads

There are two different threads, each with people posting to both, that pretty much cover the same topics.  Is there any way to combine these two threads?

Home of the world's cutest dachshund, one crazy blue heeler, two cats,
one fat pony, and many (but not too many!) chickens

Can anyone tell me, how many are too many chickens?

We often see "duplicate threads" that cover similar, or even the same topic.   In the majority of cases we don't police these and allow the members to determine which threads they do / don't want to participate in.  Usually the self-policing nature of online communities means that either:

1)  One will do well and the other may not

2)  Both will do well and each cater to a different group

There are some rare situations where we may close duplicate topics, but that is usually only when there  are "official" threads created by our forum staff.
