Grrr, Wanting Something for Nothing & No Appreciation for Fine Hand Quilting....A Rare Speckledhen

I also quilt and have carpel tunnel and numb fingers. I'm going to try to get my hands fixed. Although I don't hand quilt (yours is gorgeous!), I do enjoy applique and working with wool. Most of my quilts have been for grandkids. I have done a few for pay, but not lately. This past year I have been quilting for myself. If you need the money, make the quilts and put them up for sale for a decent price. Good luck.

My son is in dire need of that surgery, too. Mine doesn't seem to be that bad yet. You have one up on me! I don't do applique, didn't care for it when I tried it. I have changed to machine quilting, though I did one hand quilted piece recently to be sure I still had the gift (thankfully, I do). It's definitely not the same skill at all.

I've sold a few quilts this year, mostly to one fan of mine, who has been such a blessing to me, from table toppers to a queen size. I told her I will have to list her on my tax return if she keeps this up, LOL. She just bought all my crocheted totes for gifts, in fact. I was able to buy my used Janome 7700 mainly because of her, some of her purchases put me over the edge on my available funds. And I just sold my 3D Blooper quilt, too. I'm happy some folks do appreciate the work and some of them have tried quilting themselves, so they get it.
