frozen feet? please help

The same thing happened to my chicken this year, I thawed her feet in water, but sores appeared on them and unfortunately got infected, I treys putting cast with neasporin but they were vey nasty, one foot dried out completely, she was very sick, I decided to put her down and it was very sad

If birds appear stressed or have significant frostbite to legs/feet/combs/wattles due to cold weather, bring them inside or supply heat. Common sense goes a long way in preventing deaths. Pay no attention to the 'no birds require heat"b/c many do. Use your own judgement,as you are they only one who knows how your birds are dealing with the cold.

I bring my birds inside in severe cold and i heat my coop. I have never had any frostbite issues and do not intend to in the future.
