Calcium deposit on EE eggs?

Hey Guys! I have a 9mons old EE that is a great layer, but more often than not her eggs have these extremely bumpy areas, only on one end. I've read it can be excess calcium, but none of my other 13 hens are having the same problem! 

 

Here are two eggs layed yesterday and today.

There are 3 possible causes for calcium deposits: too much calcium in their diet, a disturbance during calcification and a defective shell gland. If she's the only one laying these eggs and she lays them frequently I'd say she has an issue with her shell gland. Poor girl. I can imagine pushing that out must've been a little uncomfortable!

I would guess that it's your chicken with a problem. I had one that also was an EE that seldom laid eggs with a decent shell on them. One time she laid an egg with just a light dusting of calcium on it. 90% of the time her eggs would end up broken because the couldn't stand the jostling of chickens in and out of the nest would cause. Sometimes you couldn't even pick up the eggs without breaking them the shells were so thin, thats if they weren't already broken by the time you got out to gather them. I finally tired of it and she ended up as dinner (along with our evil mean rooster that loved to attack everything including chickens). The rest of my chickens lay eggs that are just fine.

Manager of 1 husband 6 kids, 1 Shepherd/Husky dog, 3 Parakeets, Hamster, Lion's mane rabbit, several fish, 4 EE chickens and 2 buff orpingtons.

I have two hens out of 14 laying eggs with these deposits. It happens randomly sometimes three in a row others one every three weeks. ? I'm at a loss I know it's between my 3 new Hampshire crosses because of egg color. Any solution other than freezer camp ???

I feed a 17% protein layer mash with calcium mixed 70/30 with cracked corn ,milo, millet mix. They also recieve small amounts of bread and vegetable scraps and free range min 12 hrs daily on 40 acre farm with cattle.
