Hey everyone!! I am a newbie at the whole chicken farming thing. I'm starting with 12 bitty chicks that i'm getting from TSC. I know it seems like a lot but we are planning on killing all the males once they get big enough for food. I have been reading all i can get my hands on about chickens and housing etc. for the past couple of weeks and i am soo excited for it to finally be happening!! Just wanted to say hey to everyone else that loves chickens!

Without variety the world would be a very boring place. Don't care if other people think you are weird or different! Be you!!

Always calibrate your hygrometer before you incubate!!

Hello and welcome to the BYC flock!
We have a flock of chickens (mostly Seramas), Call and Mallard ducks, a rescued Chinese goose, a Royal Palm turkey, button quail, Coturnix quail and 6 parrots.

First daughter due March 29, 2013
