(Thats what I was thinking. KK)
Scout then ran off sadly and the dog catcher drove Layla to the pound
Layla howled. It was mournful and low. It was only a few minutes when the truck stopped, and the man grabbed her. He held her scruff, and half dragged her into the pound. "Got this mutt." He said to another man by a desk. "She was with that male dog we've been tryin to get." The other man on the desk nodded. "We'll use 'er' as bait." He rasped. The man holding Layla nodded, and chuckled. "We'll have both of you soon." His voice came low and threatening. Layla growled, and leaped up at his face, with her teeth snapping. He smacked her face, and Layla hit the ground with a yelp. He kicked her with his large boot, causing pain zinging through her leg. She limped forward, and the man tightened his grip of her scruff. A door slammed behind them, then another, then another. Oh no. Layla thought. I'll never get out of here. The man lifted her up on a table, and wrapped a thin piece of red plastic tightly around her neck. It read: Euthanasia. 5 days. He dragged her off the table, and threw her in a small cage. "See ya later. Bait." He snickered. Layla just looked at him with huge eyes. Scout. Where are you? She wondered.

Scout walked around the pound,
"What am I going to do?!"
He thought outloud. He finally got an idea. He dicided he was going to have to go into the pound...

Layla barked from inside her cage. Another dog across the isle lifted his head. "Hey hey, calm down short cakes." He soothed. Layla stopped and looked at the old dog. He was short and kinda stubby, with big eyes, long ears, and he himself had on a red tag. "Your in the pound is all." He said nonchalantly. "Thats all?!?!" Layla went mad. "I'm sitting here in this cage with a red tag on me, which means I'm sentenced to death, and all you can is "Thats all?" She howled. The old dog just blinked. "That pretty much sums it up. Yes." He said slowly. Layla looked at the dog in shock. "Everyone has to go." He added casually. Layla looked at the dog for another second, then resumed her mad barking.

(I'll make the old dog's character form in just a second.)

Jargo's evil grin creased his face once again. "Hahahaha!" he cackled! "That stupid sniveling mutt of a dog is fixing to lose the most important thing to him!"

Scout could hear her barking. Scout started to bark back and the dog catcher heard it,
"Time to catch a dog!" He said. He opened the door and looked around, and didnt see Scout. He walked out side and the door slowly closed, before it closed Scout ran in with out him seeing him. Scout ran toward the barking and saw Layla.
