New member from CA

Hi,

I just found this great site, and I love it!! I've had chickens for about 16 years on my own, but was taught to love them by my dear grandmother. Before forums, I would call her up as a newbie with all of my questions smile.png

I live in CA.

I currently have 13 sex link and 2 easter egger pullets. My old hens are a mix, with the eldest being about 8 years old. She's an old Maran hen. Would like more Marans ( any variety) as with her I only got 2 pullets and the rest roos with that hatch.

Still have my old hova bator, but not even sure it works anymore. Now I cast my luck with buying chicks.

What a wonderful site here! So much info!!

What part of CA are you from? Northern or Southern?

Have Katahdin hair sheep, Silkies, Guineas, Egg Layers, 3 Papillons, 1 toy Poodle, 1 Husband, 2 Cornish Rex cats,

1 aquatic turtle, 2 Kangals and 2 Grt Pyrs on 15 acres of joy.

Always calibrate your hygrometer before you incubate!!
