Day seven. Looks different anyway. It's not a great picture but about half the egg is dark. Does it look ok?

It's not clear and that's a great sign. You need an ultra bright led or white eggs to see much progress in the first week. A great link for candling progress is: http://www.backyardchickens.com/t/261876/chicks-are-here-egg-candling-pics-progression-though-incubation

But again, these were white eggs and a very good candling set up. I'm usually satisfied with candles looking like that or darker on day 10. Yeah, I wait that long to candle to see how air sac is growing (might change humidity due to it) and toss out clears. If you look at that link for day 10, the middle picture is what I expect to see at day 10 because brown eggs. Exactly as you have only 3 days more developed.

There's so little to fear from hatching even chickens dare. In fact, it's so easy a turkey can do it.

Yay! Thankyou!!
Should I be worried that I can't really see an air sac?

Hi, how many eggs are you incubating? are they your own or someone elses? were they shipped? how are you incubating? sorry for all the questions! but I would have expected to see more on day 7 can you make out any red veining at all? any embryo? you should be able to see it moving too, I would not worry so much about the air cell unless they were shipped, it should be visible at the blunt end if you shine the torch there but becomes bigger as incubation progresses, 7 days it is still relatively small, I would get a brighter light as suggested it will make it so much easier for you to see smile.png led flashlights are great.

Incubation six eggs in a wooden box that is probably too big with two lightbulbs I keep the temp around thirty eight c but err on the lower side. They are my Plymouth rock pair's first six eggs.

I use my cell phone. I just put it on video camera mode and the bright light turns on. I hold the egg over the light and works perfectly. Plus i get video coverage of it as well. LOL

Day 11 didn't get a chance to candle yesterday. One is looking pretty good, can see movement. Others can see some veins or just dark areas or dark edges.

Dunno if anybody is still subscribed to this thread but, here's another update.

Lots of movement but to my very untrained eye, kinda looks like two embryos o_O could it be? Looks like an alien in there :-P
