Never Thought....

Well here I am and loving it.

 

I never would have thought I would be gathering eggs daily and be so proud of my girls.  I also never thought I would be checking chicken butts, nursing, nurturing and feeding treats to my own little flock of hens.  Tonight I had to make sure the flying squirrel wasn't in their coop before I put them in for the night.  Sure is fun!

I would NEVER have thought each chicken had it's own personality. Now I can hardly wait to discover each one as chicks mature.

Buncha Outdoor PET chickens, ducks, two Toulouse ganders, and four turkeys. Plus 2 wiener dogs, some bunnies and a rescue cat which owns me. Oh. And a house silkie....

I would have never thought I would have injured or sick hens kept in the house! The whole bathing and dressing wounds-well that would have never entered my mind 3 years ago when I looked at chicks in the TSC bin.
