Red swollen faced hen

I'm wondering if your hen may be squabbling.
I once had two of my Ameraucana hens become quarrelsome & grab and pull each other's muffs & beard feathers out over 2-4 days time. My hens were sore but grew their feathers back over a few weeks (after their hormones calmed down & they quit fighting).
 
I found this thread while searching "red face" and the appearance of this hens exactly matches how mine is looking tonight plus mine is also an EE. This was totally sudden onset. Our hen is acting well, scratching and moving normally. However, she has 2 other major symptoms: she is making an almost-moaning type noise (at first we actually thought it was one of the barn cats in trouble) when she gets a little agitated and her crop was enormous. After much massaging and lots of olive oil, most of that seems to have gone down except there is a very hard lump in the center of her crop (a bit smaller than a golf ball) and no amount of massaging will make it budge. She's one of our old-timers, I'm guessing about 7 years old.

Anyone have any ideas?
Anyone know what the outcome was with Thread Starter's hen?
