Made my own incubator!

I'm so excited! I finally got all the bits and pieces of my incubator put together, and now it's on it's test run.  Right now I'm getting swings up to 104.  Gotta turn down the thermostat!  Wish me luck!

Ok, it's been holding perfectly at 99 for the past hour after the last adjustment.  Now, for a few more hours to see how the humidity does, and I think I'm good to screw everything down permenant like.

It's up and running! WOOT! I ran it all night and I'm still getting a consistant 99-100 degrees!  I ran it dry, and I'm getting 16% humidity pretty steady with an ambient humidity of about 45%.  I'll put the sponge back in the water tray and fill it up and run it all day to see what I get there.  After that, I'm totally ready for eggs!

How is it I'm impatient for my eggs to hatch when I haven't even ordered them yet???

And that thermostat is LOUD! You can hear it easily from the next room when it clicks on and off.  At least I know it's still working!

Just added hot water (with a drop of bleach.  can't do with out that in this climate) and a sponge.  We'll see how the humidity goes!  The heat sinks work very well.  The temperature barely nudged down while I had the incubator open.

Just found my old bulb thermometer so I can double check the temperature.
