Can chickens have cherries?

We have a couple of wild cherry trees that bear small fruit. I pick up the ripe cherries from the ground and give them to my chickens. They love it! I do pit it first though - mainly because they are only 10 weeks old and I worried what would happen if they swallowed a pit. But we've had a few cherries fall into their run and I've noticed pits on the ground. So I'm not sure they'd eat them anyway.

And yes! They are little muggers. I've learned they can jump up to my hand and grab food when I am standing up. It cracks me up. Cute little buggers.

Can I say these are wild black cherry trees I have, not the kind of cherries you buy in the produce depàrtment in the grocery store. They are toxic to horses but deer love them. Was thinking àbout building a run in the shade of it.

Mine eat them.. Heck wild birds get almost everthing. I wanted to get some myself.
saw a lot of stuff on you tube what people are doing with them...
Mine get into my elderberries too. heck find them eating the buds of my blueberry plants the ones that are not covered my hardware cloth, big 4 tall ft ring and tulle or old sheer curtains over that...
heck they eat n saw them eating the green grapes....the heck out of wild mulberries too. Even Just wish I could keep away all wild BIRDS.. I want it all for us and the feather girls and guy.
. OH they wild birds (CREEPOS)can have all the holly berries....in the front yard....

I don't know the answer about cherries but I have heard that giving fruit to your laying hens can stop them from laying. However, I've also heard others say they give their hens fruit with no problems. I don't want to risk it since I waited so long to get eggs.
My chickens eat fruit daily. They are 6 months old, and laying every day. Their favorite is watermelon.
