Don't Worry Darling

This one is still in the theaters, but it has dropped into Redbox.

Watching it felt VERY familiar as this film seems to be a mash-up of elements from "The Stepford Wives" "Westworld" and "The Matrix" set in a stylistic 1950's palm-tree'd desert utopia. The outfits, automobiles, houses and props are great fun. The ending is a bit of a "Huh?" and is designed to make you think (well, the movie is classified as a mystery), wonder and ponder what happened as there are a few story threads left untucked.

Directed by Olivia Wilde (who also has a featured role) and starring Florence Pugh, Harry Styles (who delivers some solid acting chops as he progresses in his career), and Chris Pine. Filmed in Palm Springs. 2 hours 3 minutes. Rated R.

Thanks for the review! It is also a prime movie on Amazon.

Clerks III

For those of you that have seen the original Clerks and Clerks II, this movie is a valentine. Kevin Smith is retiring from making films, but in his final film he brings back his characters and actors from previous endeavors. If you're a Kevin Smith fan, a must-see. If you aren't familiar with his work or style, this will seem oddly pieced.

Starring original Clerks cast Brian O'Halloran, Jeff Anderson, Kevin Smith, Jason Mewes; Cameos by Ben Affleck, Sarah Michelle Geller, Fred Armisen, Bobby Moynihan, Justin Long, Freddie Prinze Jr., Michael Chiklis, Anthony Michael Hall, and Danny Trejo.

1 hour 55 minutes; Comedy; Rated R

Thanks for the review!

I just watched the episode in the new Netflix series Wednesday where Fred Armisen plays Uncle Fester. It was so funny to see him as that Character.
