First Wry Neck Now One Eye Closed - Whats up??

After day 5 of treating wry neck with vitamins b and e, and selenium, our chicken Pila began to show good results. Enough so that after another few days, when the weather became nice and she was very antsy, we let her rejoin her crew. We continued dosing her with the vitamins, but reducing the frequency to every other day.

She began keeping her right eye half-closed, and now won't open it at all. I've looked closely at it, and don't see anything wrong - at most, I'd call it slightly filmy (but clear film). I've checked her ear on that side, and there doesn't appear to be any swelling. It does seem like there may have been some discharge (I know this only because her feathers seemed clumpy in that area). She doesn't LIKE me to be poking around on that side of her head, but doesn't seem to be in any pain.

What the heck is this?
 
Maybe she got pecked in the eye?? Or maybe it is brain swelling causing it (the same swelling that might have caused the wry neck)???

Doesn't sound like a respiratory ailment (mycoplasma) which sometimes you see closed eyes with. I have dealt with eyeworm before and I could see a "something" at the bottom of the eye (the worm) when I looked- the eye looked as if it had a cataract forming- so it doesn't sound like eyeworm either.

Sorry I don't have the answer.
 
Now her breathing seems labored - I can see her chest rise and fall. And she's tilting her head again, although not as badly as before.
 
Oh I hate the idea that she's in pain. I'm monitoring her very closely and will do what I need to do if it comes to that :(
The thing about caring for sick chickens: one becomes quite close to them.
 
She recovered from wry neck very well and I began letting her free range with the others and she slept in the coop a couple of mild nights when she seemed back to herself. Kept up vitamins, then backed off to every other day. Monday, when she had one eye closed, I washed it with saline, put non-pain relief neosporin on it and moved her back inside.

She's now in full relapse with wry neck - head upside down, and I'm hand feeding and watering her; am able to get the vitamins in her. She's not that interested in food, but will drink well from a dropper.

I found a chicken vet here in Louisville and am going to call in the morning.

Regardless, she won't be going back outside for quite awhile - I feel like an idiot, even though she was doing so very well I knew relapse was possible ... I guess I was so pleased to see her recover that I jumped the gun.

I could use some encouragement please, if anyone has any to spare :)

Hard to tell without a lab test. I always thought vitamins AD&E were helpful for wry neck. A secondary infection of some upper respiratory problem may be what's happening due to a compromised immune system. I'd start doing Vitamins-Electrolytes Plus in the water 3 days a week and give 1/2 cc of Tylan 50 under the skin on the back of the neck, and 1/2 cc in the breast for five days. You might even use Terramycin/Neo-Poly-Bac eye ointment in the affected eye.
 
First of all, I am sorry that Pila has a relapse. I know the feeling very well, you think they're finally ok and can't wait to let them with the rest, and something happens again. Please don't beat yourself up for this, we're all humans and in the learning process.

As I currently seem to have a young roo with the same thing (neck), what strength of vitamin E did you use? You know, the 250 (?) IU, 400 IU or??
