Day 16.5 Issues

400

It is still like that except for the fact that a small piece fell off. Congrats with ur pips too. Yey. I guess the chick is resting cuz nothibg is happening

It will rest after pip about 24 hrs give or take and then finally it will zip, the resting time is the time when most people freak and think they need to start chipping and helping and end up with chicks with yolk not absorbed. its a loooooong stage. reminds me to go check on Harmonys and see if there are more pips!

you have an update?
We have 13 in the brooder and 12 either drying off, pipped n resting, and a few zippers.

Yes I do have an update.
My first chick hatched 1am March 15th and 7 hatched in the afternoon. 1 hatched, today (day 22) and another one started pipping. So i'm going to have 10 out of 14...
unless more hatch. lol.
i have pinned some pictures on my pinterest page:

i will post pics when they are in the bator... they are still in the incubator... since more are hatching i don't want to open the bator (any more) so i don't risk the chance of shrink wrap. Plus i have to find the heat mat to put under the incubator for the first few days.
