Denizli and Tomaru and other long-crowing breeds - Page 2

my neighbors love these birds.
I select for a pure sound as possible, I don't like those scratchy sounding ones like you see sometimes.

In fact I am breeding the Tomaru and Denizli together, as well as outcrossing the Denizli to my Rosecomb Phoenix and Sumatra

I need to get current pics of those pullets up soon.

When you outcross, say to a longtail bird with less size, you lose some length of crow.  But when you take that back to the longcrower size you can get all of the length back.  I am hoping that each time I cross I improve my birds.
I don't really have any intention of breeding a lot of pure Tomaru or pure Denizli, but rather to breed in a little bit of longtail blood to beautify them.

so I have the Denizli/Sumatra hens that I raised last winter.  and I am going to breed them to my Tomaru rooster this fall.  I want to get some with long tails, gypsy faced, peacombed, and a long crow.

I also have three hens from my Rosecomb Phoenix rooster and a Denizli hen, they are being bred back to the rosecomb rooster.  as he has a whole lot of desireable traits.  Great color, build, I like his comb, almost perfect lobes, lanceolate breast feathering, AND he has a longer-than-usual crow for a phoenix.

Mixed Longcrowers and Longtails.  GreY junglefowl Hybrids.
Just the coolest chickens ever.  That's all.
Pictures of some Bengals, scroll to the bottom after you click on the link;
