My poor chicks leg is going backwards!! Please help!!

Thanks for that, she was a sweetie though I am glad she isn't suffering anymore.
That is wonderful news about the little one, I bet she will be right as rain in no time! :)
 
I have a chick who I tried splinting because we thought it was a splayed leg but now one leg goes forward and one goes backward even with the splint. She doesn't seem to be in any pain at all but has to kind of hop fly. She is 9 days old - also now she keeps her good leg kind of squated...

No swelling...it looks like the valgus-varus where it is twisted at the "knee". It does not seem to hurt at all to twist it straight. I got it straight and taped it, and then to the other leg but the other chicks started picking on her then. Before that she moved around fine and no one bothered her...so I took it off and put her in a playpen as described in the article. I am ordering vitamins and don't know what else to do...

I have a chick 4 weeks old and its one leg goes backwards i have tried to put a splint on but she wasn't able to move then she is currently eating and drinking but has difficulty moving its been hard to know what to do and I want to help her out but I dont want her to be in misery i have herd she will grow stronger and be used to the mobility problem I am wondering what I should do I'm torn at the idea of putting her down but I'm thinking it might be whats best
