Not to thread jack, but I had a question, des it have to be raw acv? Or can it just be normal acv?

darn! I bought some but it's not raw, I didn't give it to my chicks though
Oh, I didn't know it had to be RAW either....never saw it in the store... I put about 1 Tbsp of regular ACV in half a gallon....will this hurt them??... they've been drinking it all day today... worried now.

what is raw vinegar?
The raw vinegar has the mother in it (good cultures), it looks like sludge in the bottom of the bottle. You can use the other pasteurized vinegar to ferment feed if you're into that sort of thing. There's a whole thread about it in the feeding section. Its really good for your chickens, no matter how young or old
so do you have to use raw acv vinegar for the water or can it be normal acv?
Bragg's or Heinz Raw ACV you can get it at most grocery stores. I live in a very small town around 2000 people and our local IGA has Braggs. Walmart has both.
