Is this French Black Copper Maran a pullet or roo?

Someone here who has them has posted that Maran hens are black and the roos are more off black or grey in color.

We have an adult Maran. Her legs were very thiick as a chick and lots of people said she was a roo but but she turned out to be a hen. Right now we have two 5 week old Marans One French and one English, they both have thick leggs and the English looks like yours except her comb is slightly smaller. Does your's have white wing tips?
Hi I was wondering what does the white wing tips mean? I have two black copper marans at 6 weeks with white wing tips. I would love some advice! Thank you!

I'd like to know about the white tips as well... I have a 2.5-weeker supposed pullet and I'm starting to wonder about the angle at which "her" tail feathers are coming in. Beginnings of a comb are yellow, though (a female trait per an earlier comment).

Hi! I so i never got an answer on my above question about the white tips, but its been a few weeks and I can now say that both of my BCMs with white tipped feathers have been pullets. One white tip even had a weird curve about it to the end that spiraled it a bit. Im not sure if this helps you. Just wanted to let you know what my situation turned out to be incase that helps you at all.

Well, it is encouraging, anyways! Fingers crossed... Thanks!
