This is the first time I have tried to add photos. Hope it works.

The Fly trap is 1 foot square with a two inch space under it. The bait needs to rest a little above the 2 inch gap. This will ensure the flys fly up and into the pyramid. I used aluminum screen material for the sides and top. During the rain I have a clear plexiglass top. The key features are light and the pry mid. In my next version I will use non flexible metal screen for the pyramid.

Also I went ahead and built a graze box for my girls. I decided to put a lid on it. So I ripped a 2X4 at 2" and 1 1/2" pieces. Using the 1 1/2" for he top and the 2" for the box base. Hinges and a hook. This allowed me to secure the mesh on the lid with no worry about sag. Here are a few pics.

Thanks Son Of Soren

Thanks....does the fly bait go inside the mesh box just above the opening at the top of the pyramid?
Then how do you feed them to your chickens?

Let us know how that grazing frame works for ya...looks like the mesh is barely attached.

Yes on the next one I will cut the mesh a bit larger. I think it is secure.

The bait sits under the box in a tin. I put hinges on the lid and can just open it and dump out the dead flys. The girls love the treat once a week.

Here is a drawing I used of the fly trap.

Also, what would be good to plant in these frames???

Clover! Both bunnies and chickens love clover and if it gets to bloom, bees love it too. And it adds nitrogen into the soil.
