new to chicks and have LOTS of questions!!!

I have a question, it may even be a dumb question. But -- I am going to trust that y'all won't think I am completely stupid, and ask anyhow.

Do chickens pee?

Yes, I read that the white part of the poo is the pee... but, you see, this is different.

I have been out chicken stalking watching my chickens a lot lately so they get more used to my presence. At two separate times, one of my hennies has squatted down as to poo, and a clear water-ish substance has come out. What is this?

Someone....anyone....please?!

I'm just a beginner too, but it may have been the ceder. I know the same problem can happen with guinea pigs --- it's too strong for their respitory systems. That is why, in general, ceder isn't good for small animals.

My question --- is there a chart anywhere that says what temp things should be at each wee?. Does it vary a lot for chickens? I know it says to start them at 90-95 and then go down 5 a week.
I am not sure what my temp is under the light but they all look comfortable when ever I check on them at night. During the day they've been outside, starting about 4 days ago. They are now 3-3.5 weeks old and the temps were in the high 80s/low 90s but just in the low 80s today and mid 70s right now. They seem pretty comfortable, but, of course, I worry a little.

I will go with that too :) its hard not to be a stalker after all the sadness around here today. Hope her chickens make it {fingers crossed} out alright. However, I guess it would be hard for mine to be sick if I haven't introduced anyone new... Thanks for giving me the scoop on the poop! :lau

Chicks at that age can usually handle temp fluxes no problem. If they look like they're too hot/cold move the lamp, otherwise I would leave it where they seem happy with it.

You've already got your chart 90-95 then down 5/week. Once they're fully feathered (particularly the head) they don't need the lamp anymore.
