membrane question HELP!

OK, here's my dilema:
pipping in two eggs, some zipping - enough to see the beak moving and hear sounds.

in others their air cell is OK, there is VERY little movement but they have not zipped, not broken thru the membrane.. i see wiggly jiggly under the membranes.

where the membrane is exposed, should i cover it lightly with papertowling to keep it moise or just mist the exposed spots where there is no shell but membrane .

As long as your humidity is at least 60% you shouldn't have to do either thing.  Don't cover it and you don't need to mist it....that's for duck eggs.  Just be patient...it can take 24 hours from first pip to hatch.  They are resting and absorbing the yolk.

I agree with oldtimegator! I had a duck pip on day 26 and it didn't finish hatching out til day 28. It would work a while and rest a while. Did great and is a healthy happy baby who thinks I am momma lol!
