Do ducks lay more eggs when they are fertilized? How many babies do they usually have if only bred o

Just curious because you see ducks with a flock of babies... but I've read pekin usually only lay 1 egg a day. And would one time of breeding be enough?

All ducks only lay 1 egg a day (at max), they simply continue to lay in one nest until they have enough eggs in the clutch to brood. As to breeding, I have heard it can fertilize the eggs for up to 2 weeks.
