MY Quail egg turner! 150ct. or 120ct. store bought?

Well, I think I can take it from this point anyways. I just need something that will hold the massive James Marie Farms eggs that I have coming.

This guy is on a few of the quail Facebook groups as well. Might try and find him there. I think they are World of Quail and Quail Breeders of the World.

I found this thread from a link he posted in one of those groups.

I know this thread has long been dead, but I ran across it looking for ideas.
Seems to me that, if you don't mind permanently altering the rails that come with the turner, you could put together two rows of this pvc pipe per rail and glue them to the chicken egg rails. Seems to me that there'd be enough room for them to turn properly without interference. I may have to do some experimentation, but it'd be cheaper than buying quail rails. Hmmm...

Does anyone know if this worked? I made an awesome incubator that I need to add 2 racks.....

I went on the basic idea, and used the existing turner rails I already had. I glued two rows of the PVC pipe pieces to each chicken egg rail. It works great, although the larger quail eggs once in awhile shift and have to be repositioned, since they don't set in the rails quite as far down as the others do. I let it out-gas anything it might put off for about 2 weeks, then set it in my incubator. It's been successfully hatching quail for months!

I only saved the pics of the idea I went on on this laptop, and haven't gotten any of the end set-up on here yet, but you can probably figure it out from these:

/\ This was the original idea laid onto existing rails to show the difference. I immediately thought there was no reason that they couldn't be made into double rows to fit onto the turner's existing rails.

I left the area nearest the turner empty, making that particular row shorter, but the rest of them hold 24 eggs each - more than my store-bought quail rails hold.

IF I remember to, I will either find my old pics of when I was making mine, or take new pics to show what they look like now. I am not always good at remembering things like that. I never was very good at it, but now, with the strong pain meds I'm on, it's worse. *sigh* My house is papered with post-it notes on various things I need to remember, and my phone is more of an alarm clock/calendar than a phone. I will add a few more to remind me of this, LOL!

This looks nice, but I fear cylinders don't fasten together the strongest; and having 275 circle with multiple points of failure could be a mess.

I seen another page suggesting light louvers, but I am still searching for some quick, easy, and economical dividers for egg trays.

I know this is an old post, but I was wondering if other people that have Jumbo James Marie quail have other ideas for making the eggs fit. I arrange mine in the incubator by size - doing one row on each tray going down in size, and then coming back and filling in. I still have a problem with the larger eggs falling out and getting crushed by the turner - and last night enough of them got stuck that they broke the moving arm of the turner and dumped all of the eggs. I have to space the trays out and use 5 instead of 6 so the eggs don't bump the adjacent trays. I modified my extra tray, cutting out where eggs from other trays would hit - but I think I need to stick to 5 trays and raise the edges somehow. I don't know about adding the pvc rings - I was thinking more along the lines of posts in the triangular areas. I ordered a new arm ($5), and for temporary use I cut down a paint stirrer and glued it to the two pieces of the arm to get it going again. But I need a better solution. Are the Little Giant cups larger? Has anyone cut out the tops a bit to let larger eggs sit deeper? I'm really tempted to build my own trays, arm, and frame...
