Alot of hatcheries sell EEs as Araucanas or Ameraucanas. I got 4 "Araucanas" that were all actually mixes.I came across this post while trying to determine what breed of chick I have. I bought three that were supposedly Ameracauna and two look identical to the now determined EE pullet first posted, then I have this one odd bird that reminds me of a cross between a pheasant and a road runner (road runner because this dude loves to run! Lol) I can't seem to get the image to load.
True Ameraucana are always sold with a color/variety specified. If no color/variety was specified, it's an Easter Egger.I came across this post while trying to determine what breed of chick I have.
