if it helps 15 years ago i took care of a poodle for a week and got $160.00 but that was alot then I would do 10-20 a day, daycare up here is 25 a day. good luck
 
We pay 300 for my friend to come and stay at the house for a week. She takes care of the dogs, cats, goats and 25 chickens. We do provide food though. We would pay just that putting the dogs in the kennel, so this setup is easier for us.
 
$300 seems high to me but it may depend on location. Maybe I'm out of the loop. I would search around. How much time do they have to spend at your house? My neighbors go out of town a lot and recently went out of town for eight days and I was in charge of getting the mail, walking/feeding/watering their dogs and also watering their garden. They asked me because they knew I had poultry that needed early morning and evening care. I got $75 for it.. honestly my time was worth more but because of our similar circumstances I had no complaints. Paid for a tank and a half of gas. I would have done it for free I'm sure. Chickens are much less work.

Look around for neighbors and especially neighbors with kids. Also people with animals tend to be more understanding than people without animals. They tend to be much more understanding of the restrictions your animals and pets place on you wanting to vacation.

We pay $300 a week, for adult care takers. Its alot of responsability, in my eyes. We have tried the teenager route and that hasnt worked. I want quality consistant care and I am willing to pay for it.
 
For just chickens/ goats/ cats, We paid someone $100 for the week to come once a day.

However, we were also spending $50-60 a day to keep the dogs (2) in a kennel. We found that is was cheaper for us to have someone stay at the house.
 
We paid a teenager to take care of our chickens, for it was 4 or 5 days. We paid her 50, but we live in the sticks, and she lives almost across the rd. It was easy care. They had an automatic waterer and feeders were full, and they weren't laying eggs yet. just a stop by, every day to make sure things were working.

She is a very reasponsible teen, whom, now babysits for me! So lucky to have someone like her in the sticks. As I'm sure she is happy to be able to make a bit of cash, without, having to get driven somewhere. works great, again so lucky to have her!!!
