Out of the 40 birds in the growout pens I sent 22 to freezer camp yesterday. I kept the 4 biggest roos and 14 biggest hens. Once they start laying well there will be try outs for the breeding pens. I'm hoping this will also cut down on the noise from all the Roos. My biggest roo is the noisiest so he's going to have to learn some manner or he'll join the freezermates before the smaller ones. The hens should be laying soon based on the number of yolks I cut out of many of them.
Serious time crunch meant no pics or documented weights, unfortunately. They were much meatier than the last "jumbos" I harvested.
