It will the geese attack?

The geese might chase them. but I had ducks and geese together and usually the ducks would successfully stay out of the way of the geese.  No one ever got hurt, but I did have to put out more than one feed bowl to make sure the ducks were not chased away from the food.

My goslings will not tolerate any other birds near them. They attacked my turkeys and my ducklings. Have to keep them completely separate. They are so aggressive that I am afraid they'll kill the other birds. They also hate me, so they are not friendly with anyone but their own kind (1 Toulouse, 2 Africans - think the Africans are a pair).

My American Buff geese coexist with my Welsh Harlequin ducks quite well - even when they are sitting on eggs or raising goslings. Basically both species ignore each other. The geese won't protect the ducks. The ducks do give way to the geese as necessary, but the geese are pretty laid back and fairly tolerant, as long as the ducks give them space. They do have a large area with lots of fresh grass, and plenty of water sources.

My first batch of geese was raised with my first Welsh Harlequin ducks, and one of the drakes would try to breed with the female geese. He would chase them all over, and the ganders would do nothing till the goose was close to them, and then the gander would hiss. The drake backed off . I would have preferred the ganders to be a little more forceful then!

My geese get along well with my ducks, too.  My Africans and ducks free range a large pasture together.  They mostly stay within their own groups, but they share the common feeding area and will eat and nap together.  The ducks understand that the geese are in charge and give way to them.  I also have a group of Toulouse raising up goslings and ducklings together in another yard.  "Mom in charge" goose makes it clear to the pair of ducklings that they are only allowed within a few feet of the goslings (although goslings and ducklings are often found sleeping in a pile), but the ducklings don't care. They are not stressed out in the least growing up with the geese.  They are a lot safer with the geese than with the adult drakes in the pasture.

My menagerie includes 5 horses, 3 dogs, 3 cats, 36 geese (mostly dewlap toulouse & African), 20 assorted ducks, and 1 pair of fancy pigeons (Taganrog tumbler)
