Backyard BlueBirds

Well, the baby bluebirds took to flight yesterday and are on their own.
It was amazing being able to witness them grow and then leave
the nest. I am so glad that it was able to get some great pics
of their life to share with you all.

Now I clean out the box and wait till next year.

Thanks for sharing in our backyard bluebird adventure.

Thank you for sharing your pictures with us!

We used to not get any bluebirds out here in Oklahoma. But now I see them practically everywhere! I am wondering how that came about, but I'm thinking I may have just missed something and they have always been here, that I just didn't know it.

Anyways, thanks again. Your photos were great!

Do you see Mountain Bluebirds where you live, or just Eastern Bluebirds?

We have the eastern bluebird here. The mountain bluebird I think are out west in the rocky mts.
We live in the smoky mts. They are beautiful to watch, the males are a deep blue while the females
are more of a grey blue. Their song is so pretty.

I just found out the Mountain Bluebird's wintering range extends to western Oklahoma, so they probably wouldn't be seen there at this time of year.
I agree, their songs are beautiful!
