Hi -

I live on Lloyd Neck. We have 2 red stars, 5 Barred Rocks and 4 black copper marans ( 2 hens, 2 roosters) that we let our Barred Rock hatch from fertilized eggs when she insisted on going broody.

We enjoy watching these lively birds and love their eggs. They lay almost every day -very good layers so far (1 year)

The Black Copper Marans are gorgeous. However, we don't want the roosters to start crowing and disturbing the neighbors. They are only 3 months old and haven't really started yet.

Sadly, we will have to find a good home for Paul and Thomas.

Please let us know if you are interested.
