GOOSE BREEDING THREAD - for breeding, incubating, hatching and rearing.

Usually it’s around 9 months before sexually aggressive. I think with mine it was numbers 4 just made them tough guys. If you can keep them with the goats I’d keep them Pilgrim are nice breed. My Embden gander who is now 11 has a really bad attitude during breeding season mainly with me and my drake so I knew if he went son where else to live he’d end up on the table so they will be here for life. If you really like them maybe just try keeping them away from the chickens my chickens ducks and geese all all together on half acre during the day and the chickens have learned when to give them a wide berth during breeding season

To explain what I mean with a picture, this was taken on day 7. Its a duck egg, but same principle. I took this picture in the middle of a turn. (my call duck eggs do better when manually rolled) See how the blood vessels are all on one side and the other side looks clear? The vessels were on top before I started the roll. After the roll, they are on the bottom, but they naturally work their way back to the top. (its pretty cool to actually watch it happen).

My animals all roam on 1/2 acre together, although at night the chickens go in one lock up and the geese locked in their own. I'm keeping an eye out...
