I messed up! I got caught up when I should have said, "No"! Now, my daughter is crying her eyes out, and the wife is upset with me. I am angry at myself, and for a brief moment, the neighbor who complained. However, I am in the wrong and have to go to court for poultry not permitted in a residential zone R-2 Non-Pinelands. I don't know what is going to happen. Should I get them a new home before the court date or wait until after the hearing? I have 4 White Leghorns, and 2 red sex links. Please see pictures. They are much bigger than the pictures now.

Sorry about the chicken situation. To bring peace to the house and neighbors, you can find them homes... or attempt to change the laws in your town. I know there are threads on here where people have went ahead, fought, and won the "right" to keep chickens in their back yards. Seattle proper allows 3 hens for the minimum sized lot... more if your plot is larger! So depending on what you're fighting, might be worth the fight if you want. Else, a new home may be in order.

I plan to get this ordinance changed! However, I need step by step directions. Is there such a thing?

We found a 13 acre farm 7 minutes form our house about 3 weeks ago. The chicks are doing well and we are welcomed to visit anytime to see and feed them, the other chickens, the goats and the horse. We also get farm fresh eggs for free. God is Good! I am thinking about selling the Little Tykes Castle that I made into a coop. I will post pictures later.
