probiotics

Yep...it's all the same stuff. If you have any capsules with powder in them, you can open one and dump it in a quart water font. Fill the entire quart waterer. Discard the capsule. :) Mix it up to disperse it.

Make new stuff each day to keep it potent and so it does not spoil.

Sure! You can feed them yogurt (non-sugared), kefir & other probiotics. Just keep it to small amounts/day. You can also add a tsp of yogurt to their fermented feed (non-ACV style) to help it culture better. Then they can eat the feed & gain probiotics without a messy bowl of yogurt in their pen.

Lovelt thanks. Can i ask what will my quail gain from taking probiotics
A stronger gut & higher resistance to infections. Add small bits of fresh garlic to the feed & that will help fight worms, lice, mites, etc as well. You'll have a super-tough quail. :)

As said above in the previous post, probiotics boost immunity. When ingested, they tend to stick and multiply in the GI tract of the bird. Disease and especially bacteria are anaerobic creatures. They thrive in dark wet conditions where there is no oxygen. But probiotics bring in oxygen. Pathogens do not stand a chance in a oxygen fill environment. And when the GI is healthy, so is the rest of the bird. It can then fight off disease and stay healthy and strong throughout their lives. 70% of the immune system lies in the GI tract. So keep it healthy and you will have healthy birds. :)
