I just moved to Carrollton, in Isle of Wight County. Will be building a new cooplet for my 2 silkie roos and 2 OEG hens.

I'm looking for a nearby feed store (or other source) to buy 2 new barred rock chicks this spring. Any ideas? I can't buy enough to make an order from McMurray. Unless someone wants to split an order, that is.

Also, were you able to imprint the chicks at all? I just love it when they think you're their momma!

Not sure how the e-mail feature works on this board yet, but supposedly you can e-mail me if you want to give me a phone number so we can coordinate.

We are getting:
6 Partridge Cochin
6 Buff Cochin
6 Black Cochin
6 White Cochin
6 Araucanas/Americanas

I like the Featered Footed and I also wanted color eggs.

We are going to try to build a coop, this will be interesting.
I showed my husband a picture of a cottage I liked and he is going to try to build it on the scale of a coop.
He is not real handy.
