Special Treats!!

Hey everyone!!

I was wondering if there are any Special (healthy) Treats that I can give to hens? I know that some hens like watermelon...they also like wax worms...my hens go crazy for them

, but i was hoping for snacks that are cheep, healthy, and easy to find around the house. Please reply and give some good ideas for treats

Reading this makes me worried. My chicks are 6 -7 weeks old. I have TRIED to offer them treats but they are not the slightest bit interested. I've tried fruit and lots of leafy greens from the veggie patch. They won't even eat bread or sultana cake I offered them. Could they simply be too young?
As I child I remember out chickens eating everything! With 2 young children we have a lot of wasted food I was hoping the chickens would eat in addition to their crumbles.

Did you have to teach them to eat these foods?
