Peck and Play tent

I still like mine because its so easy to move around the yard. It was raining yesterday so I brought it up on the back porch. I just put some doggy pee pads down and their food and water. I also gave them a little box of sand to play in.:) I hope to have their big coop ready by next week but will still use this during the day.

Would it be able to support a big curious chicken on the outside?

I like the idea for my chicks but the mature chickens might destroy it at my place.

I finally got my chicks and rescued hen out on Wednesday. Here is there " P and P Tent" . They had a blast!! The run is almost complete and the other chicks are arriving next Wednesday. The homemade version is nothing fancy but does the trick. It was so much fun watching them.

The homemade pen is cool.... I'm wondering, though, if once you add up the cost of the materials and the time, if I'd really save all that much money by making one of those instead of buying the pre-made P&P.

And as the other poster said, the light weight and packability is a real selling point, as is the fairly discreet coloration - if I did build a pen myself, which I've been researching, I'd have to use either mesh deer fence or green fence wire to satisfy my fiance. The construction looks similar to the mesh dog crates that a lot of my friends use at dog agility trials, and those hold up to a lot of use.

As a side note, the name makes me chuckle... it's clearly a pun on the Pack and Play portable playpen for babies that's been around for quite a while.

I got one for Christmas and opened the bag and it pops out like an inflatable boat LOL! It takes some practice to fold it up be sure to watch the folding video on their website.
Looks like it going to work. I have three coops but always need a spare for a short time. Will work great for Silkies or any chicken.

I noticed in most photos is has 3 to 4 standard sized hens in it, if you rotated it around your yard every few days, how many girls do you think it could comfortably fit in it? Or is 3 pretty snug?

Thanks!
