Nannie, My experience early on in my Hen-Momship

was a big lesson learned. I overdid my first hen with too much scratch and too many fruit treats. She died of obesity. I had her necropsy done at UC Davis in Dixon, Ca. They said she died of obesity as her organs failed due to that obesity. I read that a half handful per hen is good. It is just to give them something to hunt and peck for. The later pellets should be 16% protein.
