When do white leghorns start laying

My 17 week old leghorn laid her 1st egg 2 days ago. It was a perfect beautiful egg

Now just waiting for my other girls ( not leghorns) to follow suit. It shouldn't be too much longer of a wait.

i have some also and i have no idea when they started laying because YESTERDAY (7/13/13) i couldn't find one of my hens, so i watched the rooster for a little while and he finally went to her well, i went and looked on the other side of a piece of wood and i found her laying on some eggs, ( i think she was adding to the bunch!) i only saw a few but as i picked her up i saw more, and more and more, there were 21 total! so i don't know if they are all hers or if all of the girls lay their eggs in the same spot. i think mine were born the 1st of march so that would put them at about 18 weeks. we also have a couple roosters so we left the eggs and hope for chicks! we have not had any eggs since i found the nest though :-( maybe they are taking a break!

Just got my first egg yesterday, and also had one today. The first egg was small, the second one was bigger. One of my six white leghorn hens is laying now at 18 weeks.

My leghorn is 20 weeks now...still no eggs. Her comb and wattles are deep red and very large. She is same age as my RIR, and two easter eggs. None have yet to ly an egg.
